I will leave you with some fun layouts using my Life’s a Beach mini kit.  It will be free until Friday so be sure to grab it as well as the add on and flair.  You can get all the links here

This page uses a template from Scrapping with Liz
This page uses a “new to me” technique: feathering to get the photo to blend into the background.
I had to show you that Life’s a Beach isn’t just for beach photos
Another one playing with the feathering technique
Final one by me…got our little stop to Galveston Beach scrapped!

This is the most exciting page…a page from another scrapper!!!  I love to see my designs at work!!
This page was done by Kelly of  Just for Fun Designs.  She too is a finalist in the Designer Darling Contest!  Check out her blog and great entry in Round 4!

Round 4: Life’s A Beach

Round 4 of the competition was a tough one.  We were not allowed to use any commercial use items except the ones provided.  I spent the week painting papers, scanning dryer sheets and making paper pieced items.  It was a bit stressful but a lot of fun.  I hope you enjoy this kit as much as I enjoyed making.  I would love to hear your comments or see your layouts.

You can download the kit for FREE until Friday, March 2nd in the forums.
I will be back on Monday with a layout or two and a freebie!

Sneak Peek!

Round 4 of the Designer Darling competition is a tough one.  We aren’t allowed to use any commercial use items except what is provided.  We are being asked to stretch our thinking and get creative.  I have to say I am having a lot of fun designing this kit for you.  Our challenge was from an adorable picture of a sweet newborn baby.  He is in browns and blues so that was my jumping off point.  Here is a peek at what is to come by Sunday!  Keep watching my blog and Facebook fan page for freebies and when this kit will be available!

B2N2 Scraps has a new kit in stores: Squeezed.  The colors in this kit are bright and fun and make it possible to scrap just about anything.  I put my boys in a lot of blues and oranges so this kit was perfect for my little ones.

This first page was done using a template by B2N2 for the challenge at Brownie Scraps.

This page uses Meagan’s Creations new template set: Texty Templates

Here is a closer look at the kit.  You can grab it at Stuff to Scrap or Brownie Scraps!

Round 3 of Designer Darling Competition!

I made it to round 3 of the Designer Challenge at Stuff to Scrap!!  Thank you for your support.  I am having so much fun designing and learning.  This time around we have to show off our extracting skills by scanning and extracting 3 items.  I do not mind the extracting part but I had a hard time with the photographing and scanning part at first.  My desire to start designing stemmed from paper punch art and that is what I scanned for you this round.  You can pick up The Lion and the Lamb  in the forums at Stuff to Scrap for free this week only!

These guys and the flower can be used for personal or commercial use but please remember to read my TOU (terms of use)
Also on Monday be sure to check out the voting!  I am going to need your support to stay in this competition.
