Leaving a Legacy Designs

Helping you scrap your memories one page at a time

What the Scrap!

I am lounging on the couch tonight working on a special gift for the kiddos and thought I would share a few more pages with you.  I showed you a few of my Elf on the Shelf pages…I have done a few more tonight.  I plan to order an 8×8 book for the kids to have of Mr. Bob’s adventures.  I have taken a step back on the December Daily since one photo a day is not my thing.  I have well over 2000 photos for December!

Here is a recap of the first pages I have done along with the new ones.  I am using Just for Fun Designs kit: Shelf Elf.

Gallery Standouts!

Not a lot of new pages in the galleries so I decided to glance back over the last 8 months that I have been designing at Stuff to Scrap and pull some layouts for you to see!  There are over 300 so I can’t show them all to you but I will show you a few…if you mouse over them you will see the kit that was used.

Remember you to upload your layouts to my Stuff to Scrap gallery here.

Thank you all for a fabulous 2012!  I look forward to a new year of designing and creating for you!  This may be my last post until Tuesday…we are hanging out with family.  I don’t want to spend it on the computer.  🙂

Elf on the Shelf

This month my family adopted an elf from the north pole.  If you haven’t heard of the Elf on the Shelf I recommend you check it out.  He is pretty fun little character to have around during Christmas time.  My boys enjoyed looking for where the elf was hiding and what he got into while they were sleeping.  I have decided in addition to my December Daily book that I was going to put together an Elf on the Shelf book for them to have.  I decided to use Just for Fun Designs kit: Shelf Elf to scrap the pages of my book.  Here are the first four pages I put together tonight.

The first page is a redo from my December Daily pages…then on to elf antics!

You can check out Just for Fun’s Kit at Scraps N Pieces store..just click on the image below.

December Daily

I have made it through 7 days so far of my December daily.  I had a few Christmas presents to make and family visiting so things have slowed down but I will get there.  I also plan to make a book about “Bob” our elf on the shelf and his adventures this month.    Here is a recap plus a few new ones as well.

I can’t wait to show you what I have been working on instead of my December Daily lately.

Christmas Vacation!

The in laws are here for the first time EVER!  I am so excited to be spending Christmas in my own home with family!  They are pretty amazing people, not like the crazy folks in my all time favorite Christmas movie!

My all time favorite Christmas movie is Christmas Vacation.  Hubby and I started watching it together as teenagers while wrapping Christmas gifts.  Our first version of this movie was the made for TV one that was recorded on a VHS tape!  We then upgraded to a DVD and now Chevy Chase is on BluRay!  There are so many quotes from this movie that we use and find funny.  My favorite is: Don’t Throw Me Down Clark!

Merry Christmas!  I would love to hear what your favorite Christmas movie is!

A few others we like are:
Christmas with the Kranks

Santa Claus 1-3

Christmas Carol (we have a couple versions of this)

Veggie Tale Christmas (I think there are three of them)  The Toy that Saved Christmas is popular

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

We have a bunch more but those are a few!   What is your favorite?
