Camping during a severe thunderstorm that turned into a tornado warning. Ended up sleeping in the truck all night. No fun!

Last time I went camping was at a cottage with no running water. If we wanted to flush the toilet we had to grab the 5 gallon bucket and fill it from the stream outside the cottage and pour it into the toilet. Showers and such was taken at the local campground. We had about 15-20 people too sharing the two bedrooms and two tents. We may not have had running water, heat wave, tons of people in a small area but man we sure had fun. We never were able to fix the water problem either.

My family used to camp every year for over 25 years at Hau’ula. We always had over 50 of us. It’s across the street from the beach with a small shack where we would play cards. it had over an acre yard for tents. you had to be sure not to place you’re tent to close to trees with coconuts – LOL or you could get bonked while sleeping. I don’t have a favorite year – I loved every year. Unfortunately alot of us have moved off the Island, but I miss it! the kit looks adorable thanks for the chance!

I don’t camp, my family falls into the RV/”glamping” category. I enjoy having AC and running water when I “camp” I enjoy internet connectivity and satellite tv lol!
Camping is exciting for me, to be connected with the nature 🙂 But I have once a bad camping experience when it was raining very hard, and we can do anything other than sit inside the tent. Thanks for the chance
